How is a tuberculosis test done?
A TB skin test is done by injecting a small amount of tuberculin beneath the skin in the lower part of your arm. A healthcare professional will then check your arm after 48-72 hours to see if there has been a reaction. TB blood tests are done by drawing a blood sample which is sent to a laboratory for analysis.
